7 Wonders is a strategy game for 3-7 players aged 10 and up, with an average playtime of 30 minutes. The game comes with 7 Wonder boards, 148 Age cards (49 Age I cards, 49 Age II cards, and 50 Age III cards), 78 Coins (54 worth 1 and 24 worth 3), 48 Military Conflict tokens (24 Defeats and 24 Victories), 1 score pad, 3 Description of Effects sheets, 1 List of cards and chains sheet, and 1 rulebook.

Players draft cards over multiple rounds, carefully building towards long-term goals. Keep an eye on your neighbors' progress, as they share similar ambitions. After the third age, players score the points given by their cards and their military conflicts, and the player with the most points wins.
